Boone County EMA receives vehicle donation from Enbridge

State Rep. Joe Sosnowski (third from right) and State Sen. Dave Syverson (third from left) attend the vehicle donation event in Belvidere.

State Rep. Joe Sosnowski joined State Sen. Dave Syverson and representatives from Enbridge Energy in Belvidere on Tuesday as they donated a vehicle to the Boone County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).

The donated vehicle is a retired Enbridge fleet truck that will go to support the efforts of the Boone County EMA and assist them in safely responding to emergency needs within the county. As a primarily volunteer-staffed agency, this vehicle will increase the EMA’s transport capabilities and be used across all of its response teams—air, land search, surface water rescue, and weather spotting.

First response organizations are critical to the community. Donating used fleet vehicles is one aspect of Enbridge’s community investment program designed to support those who work tirelessly to keep our communities and neighbors safe. Rep. Sosnowski is proud to support our local first responders including the Boone County EMA and thanks Enbridge for being an outstanding community partner.
