Rep. Joe Sosnowski recently joined Boone County officials and Growth Dimensions Economic Development to officially re-open the newly renovated Poplar Grove Road Bridge over Beaver Creek, reconnecting the City of Belvidere to the Village of Poplar Grove.
The new $2.3 million bridge was completed on time and underbudget. This corridor also received a paved shoulder to convey larger farm implements and improve safety. Boone County was awarded several State and Federal competitive grants. These grants paid approximately 75% of bridge and roadway improvements.
