Rep. Joe Sosnowski visited Summit Academy in Machesney Park on Monday to meet with ROE4 administration and learn more about the school’s programs. He also had an opportunity to congratulate a few students on their success with graduation ceremonies scheduled for this week. Rep. Sosnowski shares in the community’s pride in the students’ achievements and appreciation for the dedicated educators who teach and inspire them.
Summit Academy is an alternative education program operated by the Boone-Winnebago Regional Office of Education #4. They serve students in grades 6–12 across Boone and Winnebago Counties who benefit from a supportive, nontraditional learning environment. Summit Academy provides a safe, relationship-driven setting where students can re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, and set new goals for their future.
