246 years ago today, Old Glory was adopted as the official flag of our great nation. Since its adoption, the American flag has proudly served as a symbol of freedom around the world. The red on the flag represents hardiness and valor, the white represents purity and innocence, and the blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice.
The students at Fairview Early Childhood Center in Rockford made this flag back in 2018 and I snapped a photo of it during my visit that year. I thought it was such a great classroom project, beautifully made. Happy Flag Day!
