Winners have been selected for the annual 69th District Photo Challenge Contest sponsored by State Representative Joe Sosnowski, R-Rockford. The contest is offered each year to give Northern Illinois residents an opportunity to share their interest in photography with the public.
The contest kicks off in September each year with submissions due by the Friday before Thanksgiving in November. Photo submissions can be of nature, architecture, or daily life in Illinois’ 69th District, which includes portions of McHenry, Boone and Winnebago Counties.
This year’s winners are “Belvidere Park Dam” submitted by Sharon Thomas of Belvidere, “Soybean Sunset” submitted Robert Woods of Rockford, and “Farmall and Fields” submitted by Lydia Ruehl of Hebron.
A framed copy of each 2024 Photo Challenge honoree will be added to the display with past year’s winners in Representative Sosnowski’s office at the Capitol Complex in Springfield.
“This year’s photo submissions brilliantly showcase the natural beauty that makes living and exploring here in our local communities unique,” Representative Sosnowski said. “I thank everyone who entered our Fall Photo Challenge this year for sharing their passion for photography and talents with us. I will be proud to share their exceptional photos with visitors and guests at the State Capitol in the coming year.”
Please contact Representative Sosnowski’s District Office at (815) 547-3436 with questions or for more information.
