Long Prairie Trail bridge project in Boone County awarded $2.7 million state grant

The Boone County Conservation District has been awarded $2.7 million in capital funding from the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program for five bridge replacements along the Long Prairie Trail. The project spans from Illinois Route 76 east to the Boone County/McHenry County line.

The award is among $139.2 million in projects announced on Wednesday by the Governor and the Illinois Department of Transportation to expand local travel options and enhance quality of life in communities statewide.
